Sasha is an avid collector of sand and sea shells and we even found a small beach made entirely out of sea shells.
Every rock had a story to tell. We of course had photo shoots on many of them.
It was wonderful. At least we thought so...
The rocks became steeper and harder to climb. But with our feet sore, we pushed on. On that day we learned that we shared something that we didn't know we both had. We don't like to turn around. A point came when we had to go inland into the jungle because the rocks were unclimbable. We had to continue barefoot since our sandals couldn't handle the terrain and because of that we met these interesting things on the forest floor. We named them Spiky MotherF*%$ers. Pardon my French, but our feet were covered in them. Oh, and my camera fell into the water after bouncing off half a dozen rocks. Below is the last pic taken with it.
Guys, I don't want to bore you with a long story, so I'll shorten it. After being stuck on the peninsula for 6 hours, night came. Since we were surrounded by hard to climb rocks and Spiky MotherF*%$ers we reluctantly decided to spend the night on the rocks. Then to add to the misery, it started to rain. After a few more hours, we went toward the dreaded Spiky MotherF*%$ers into the jungle in our search for home. In pitch black and with only my flashlight to guide us, we finally found a trail and some spray-painted rocks which led us back into town. What did we learn? Spiky MotherF*%$ers hurt! A lot! And that me and Sash supported each other the whole way, never giving up, and working as a team. We ate and slept.
If you're a regular traveler and are not looking to get lost or stranded, Trindade also has something to offer for you. From beautiful empty beaches and good fish, etc.
There's us below at a natural pool doing what we do best...
Over and out.
